Every parent has been there. You bring your child to the pediatrician for one problem – and two days later your child is sick again with completely different illness. You can’t help but wonder…was this from the old toy your child was handling or the other sick children he/she was playing with in the waiting room?
As a parent, you do everything within your power to keep your child as healthy and happy as possible. It is not always easy. Germs are everywhere and kids are inevitably going to come in contact with them. Some germs are worse than others. In a recent study conducted by Parenting Magazine (“Mom vs. Germs” Aug. ’05), toys found in pediatricians offices contained some of the worse and most dangerous forms of bacteria (staphylococcus aureus) which can cause, among other ailments, toxic shock syndrome, pneumonia, meningitis and impetigo.
This is where we come in. Our mission is simple: To provide every child in a pediatrician’s waiting room with a new, safe, clean, educational toy and/or book at no cost to you, period. It is a complimentary gift given to your child on check in and free for them to take home.
